UTU and Pajap have signed a business transaction through which UTU acquires the entire electrical outlet column business of Pajap. The transaction will come into effect on April 1, 2022.
Through this business transaction, UTU will strengthen its position in the field of electrical installations, providing its customers with outlets and accessories for the electrical systems of commercial premises. The production of the electrical outlet columns will move to UTU’s Ulvila production facilities on April 1, 2022. The Pajap products, their current numbers and features, remain the same.
“It is a pleasure to pass the Pajap products into the care of the Finnish UTU family and to have a successor for our work due to retirement. UTU has broad shoulders with its production facilities and design teams to further develop the product offering according to the wishes of customers. We believe that Pajap products will get a good new life at UTU. Thanks to Pajap’s customers and partners for the joint journey! “, says Pasi Pentti, CEO of Pajap Oy.
“Pajap products are particularly well-suited to what UTU offers, and Pajap’s nearly 100 electrical products naturally become a part of UTU’s cable range. Our factory in Ulvila provides an efficient assembly line for sockets and plugs, where for decades we have also been producing UTU’s high-quality power centers. We welcome both existing and new Pajap customers for UTU and look forward to introducing our product range to our current customers, says UTU´s business director Yrjö Vasenius.
